We’re all itching for things to return to a little more normal in 2020. It might look a little different, but we are excited to share some great October fun for the family! Our local businesses are celebrating Oktoberfest right here at home and you won’t want to miss the festivities!
(It actually looks a lot different from years past, but for a great reason! Since last October, we’ve welcomed two new craft brew-focused operations to the mix – Pioneer Taphouse and Teddy’s!)
Here are the sudsy details!
Our beloved destination eatery, The Turtle, has updated their menu this month to include a few German favorites. Specials will run all month long and include homemade best wursts, spaetzle, schnitzel, senfbraten. Wash it down with delicious German beers and Riesling!
Date: During opening hours throughout October 2020
The Hideout is hosting a Texas-sized Oktoberfest Celebration that you don’t want to miss. The Hideout is a beautiful destination unto itself on a regular Saturday! But Oktoberfest brings guests a change to their incredible recreation and lively outdoor festivities with plenty of delicious food, fun activities, live music, prizes and more.
Date: Oct 16 at 5 PM – Oct 17 at 11 PM
Pioneer Tap House
Our new (and wonderful) family tap house is excited to launch their inaugural Oktoberfest celebration. Enjoy a great night of festivities right downtown Brownwood Texas. Heartland BBQ will be serving a delicious, German-inspired menu. If you’ve missed live music, tunes by the amazing Amelia Presley & Jon Young Band will get you tapping your feet. And of course, the best Oktoberfest craft brews from all over Texas will be flowing at the ready!
Date: Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 6 PM – 12 AM (live music at 8 PM)
Teddy’s is breaking in their new biergarten in a big way! They are celebrating all things bier, barbecue, and Brownwood with an Oktoberfest for the books! On October 20, they are hosting a chili cook-off and Oktoberfest tickets ($15) will include tastings in addition to four German brews of choice!
Date: Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 2 PM – 12 AM
We hope to see you celebrating! Prost!
