Get ready for a great night’s sleep. The family-friendly Hideout welcomes groups of any sizes. Whether you are looking for a romantic escape, a family adventure, or just some time spent outdoors (and away from the computer), the Hideout has accommodation for you.

Guests can choose from six well-appointed lodge rooms, three ranch houses, 17 cabins, and 10 bungalow-style RVs. Here are your wonderful lodging choices (trust us, you can’t go wrong!)

Lodge rooms

Six upscale bedrooms are ensconced in the main resort building. Take your morning coffee window-side with beautiful golf course and lake views. When you’re feeling hungry, mouthwatering options await from breakfast to lunch just steps from your door.

Cabins

Love a rustic vibe? The Hideout’s cabins are your pick! Set in wood-paneled cabins, comfy beds (up to 4) promise a great night of sleep. The piece de la resistance of the cabins is the incredible perfect (and private) sunset porch just outside your door.

Ranch houses

The ranch houses are the newest addition to the Hideout and offer guests the best of both worlds. An opportunity to get away and indulge in our hospitality or to be entirely self-sufficient in your full kitchen during your stay. The two-bed (two-bath) houses are at the center of the resort’s amenities. Explore by day and spend nights curled up by the wood-burning fire after a great meal!

Bungalow-style RVs

2020’s biggest trend lives on with none of the towing hassles! Enjoy The Hideout’s stunning natural surroundings in style from a bungalow-style RV. With a sleeping capacity of up to eight people (queen bed, double-sized bunk beds and convertible couch and dinette), it’s an affordable adventure for the whole family! Amenities include a complete kitchen (coffee maker, sink, microwave, oven, small refrigerator), satellite TV, hammocks, outdoor tables and firepits.

P.S. If you’re in the market for some lakeside property, you can also get a sneak peek at some incredible lake view lots and explore from the comfort of the resort. They are offering their “love it and live it package” (maximum one night) for a short time.

Experience

Do

The Hideout Golf Club & Resort is nestled along the shores of Lake Brownwood. The lake offers thousands of picturesque acres for picnics, swimming and water sports, boating, fishing, hiking, and fun in the sun. If you’re skittish of lake water, stroll along and join us back at the resort for a plunge in our beautiful pool.

The Hideout Golf Club and Resort was so convenient with everything in one place for our comfort. The small, intimate place meant that we had great service and great views. Our cabin was so cozy, and I wish I was a kid again to sleep in the upstairs loft. Overall, if you’re looking for a family vacation, this place is perfect with all that they offer. Plus don’t forget to check out all of the fun things to do in Brownwood, TX while staying here. – My Curly Adventures

The resort also offers it’s own fishing and boat dock, a kayak/SUP/canoe launch, an open-air pavilion with outdoor grills, outdoor seating, lakeside firepits, a fully-equipped fitness center, and tennis/pickleball/basketball courts, resort pool.

Surrounded by a championship, 18-hole golf course, the resort is also a golfer’s paradise. The beautiful course recently ranked 13th in Texas by Golf Advisor. Golfers benefit from a special “stay and play” package that offers a round, a room, and access to all the great amenities for $189/person.

Dine

The Hideout Grill offers exquisite (and hearty) Western-forward breakfasts, smokehouse burgers and wood-fired steaks. Farm-to-table is anything but a lip service gimmick here-herbs and vegetables are grown on resort grounds!

Dinner was delicious – and again, you get a gorgeous view. We also enjoyed live music and just an overall “Texas friendly” vibe that I so love about Texas! – My Curly Adventures

The menu is curated by Executive Chef, Richard R. Scahfer. Schafer, who worked with 3-star Michelin recipient, Alain Chapel restaurant (in Mionay, France) has brought unbounded new energy to the kitchen and the menu. The result is dishes that are rocking the taste buds of Brownwoodians and visitors like never before-destination dining in a beautiful, tranquil setting.

Brownwood was honestly so fun to adventure in and surprised me with its quirkiness, charm, and photographable spots. We stayed at The Hideout Golf Club & Resort, about ten minutes outside of the city, in a quaint cabin a short walking distance to the resort’s restaurant, The Hideout Grill. We grabbed a few drinks on the restaurant patio, enjoyed the view of the hill country and enjoyed listening to live music all evening. Note: they had the BEST queso I’ve had in a long, long time. – Shelby Sorrel

Enjoy your meals in the lodge’s dining room, Copperhead Bar, or poolside. (Check The Hideout’s website for current opening hours and rotating menu.) Or have a grill out on one of the many barbecues the resort offers!
