The holidays are in full swing here in Brownwood and what better way to celebrate than with festive events and celebrations for everyone to enjoy. Here is our 2024 round up of upcoming holiday-themed events that you won’t want to miss.
16th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade in Downtown Brownwood – December 5th
Get ready for a magical evening in Downtown Brownwood with the 16th annual lighted Christmas parade. The parade starts at 6:15pm, so be sure to bring family and friends for festive lights, live music and lots of cool floats!
Christmas Cookie-Palooza – December 6th
Hosted by the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce, this come-and-go event is the perfect way to savor the holiday season. All you have to do is show up to the Depot anytime between 5-7pm and choose from a variety of delicious cookies to take home all while sipping on complimentary wine. They are also offering a small dinner menu, gift baskets and various other Christmas treats for purchase.
Sipping Under the Stars in Downtown Brownwood – December 7th
The 6th Annual Sipping Under the Stars event presented by Visit Brownwood will be happening December 7th. This much-anticipated wine and beer tasting event is the perfect way to enjoy the holiday season while enjoying downtown Brownwood. Samples tastings from local and visiting wineries and breweries as you shop and stroll. Tickets to this event are available on Eventbrite.com and check-in begins at 4:00pm at Pat Coursey Park.
Riding the Rails with Santa! At the Lehnis Railroad Museum – December 7th
Looking for a free family-friendly event this holiday season? The Lenis Railroad Museum is offering a truly unforgettable experience this year, train rides with Santa Claus. Enjoy free admission to the museum for a fun-filled and festive Saturday! This event will be happening from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
Second Sundays – December 8th
On the second Sunday of every month, downtown Brownwood comes alive and this month, they are bringing the holiday cheer. Bring the whole family and enjoy an afternoon filled with live entertainment, lots of local businesses to shop from and tons of delicious food.
Christmas Under the Stars Festival at the Depot Plaza and Park – December 10th
The annual Christmas Under the Stars festival is happening on December 10th! Join us for pictures with Santa, horse and carriage rides, delicious food, warm beverages, and holiday-themed activities and booths hosted by local businesses and nonprofits. Come and see for yourself at the Depot Plaza and Park 5:30pm-8:00pm.
Holiday at the Lake – December 13th
What is Christmas time without the Holiday at the Lake event? Come drive through Lake Brownwood State Park at 6:00pm on December 13th and see all of the holiday lights on display! Campers and campsites will be decorated for you to drive through and look at while the Group Dining Hall will have a cozy fire with a ranger and the ability to paint your own ornament to take home.
