3rd Annual Sipping Under the Stars
It’s beginning to look a lot like Sipping Under the Stars! Everywhere you go, our boutiques, bars, and restaurants have transformed into a holiday wonderland loved by Brownwood locals and tourists alike. Don’t worry, grandma won’t get run over by a reindeer here, this is the perfect event for loved ones, Texas travelers, and those with the Christmas spirit.
The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce presents the 3rd Annual Sipping Under the Stars. Join us on December 4th for an afternoon of fine wine, craft beer, joyful shopping, and live music. We don’t know if there will be snow but have a cup of cheer provided by six Texas Hill Country wineries alongside our local brewery and Texas craft beer vendors. VIP tasting tickets for the event are $30 per person and include 10 tasting tickets, a commemorative wine glass, wine tote bag, map of participating merchants, and exclusive offers from our downtown merchants. General Admission tickets may be purchased for 10 tasting tickets for only $20. Check-in will begin at 3:30. Parking is available in the Landmark Life Building Parking Lot (formerly the Bank of America Building).
Shop Til You Drop
Since each winery will be hosted by our unique downtown businesses, Sipping Under the Stars is the perfect opportunity to start your holiday shopping. You are sure to find something special at one of our many locally-owned boutiques, all merrily decorated and eager to greet you with holiday cheer. Stuff stockings this year with earrings from Earth & Noble, antiques from Saturday’s, Petal Patch bouquets, and adventure gear from Shaw’s. Whether you’ve been naughty or nice, there’s something for everyone here in Brownwood.

Cups of Cheer
Before you dive into eggnog and hot chocolate this season, savor all the Texas wine country has to offer. Gather your Pinot pals and Grigio gals because some of the finest wineries from across the region will have their signature wines available for purchase by the glass or bottle. Wrap your taste buds around the nutty sweetness of a good Port wine and the dark fruity blends of a Cabernet Sauvignon. Sipping Under the Stars will uncover Hill Country notes you’ll be singing about all season long!

Christmas Spirit
As live music serenades your stroll along our lovely downtown, you’ll notice we’ve certainly decked the halls of Brownwood. Never before have so much holly, tinsel, and red ribbon made you feel so at home. And just south of our iconic Christmas tree, which stands tall in the center of Pat Coursey Park, is a beautiful display of twinkling lights to send you home with a little magic in your heart.
