Parade of Parades: A Community Celebration for All Ages

Get ready to march, wave, and celebrate during the Parade of Parades! This special Summer Reading Club event brings participants of all ages together for one giant community celebration filled with creativity, fun, and excitement. Families, children, teens, and adults are invited to dress up, show off their festive spirit, and join the parade as it kicks off a memorable morning of community fun.

Colorful Costumes & Festive Fun

The celebration begins at the Adams Street Community Center, where participants can gather, prepare, and show off their creativity before the parade begins. Attendees are encouraged to wear their best costumes, decorate their bikes or other wheeled conveyances, and embrace the festive atmosphere. Ribbons will be awarded for Best Hat, Best Costume, and Best Decorated Bike (or other wheeled conveyance), adding an extra layer of friendly competition to the day’s festivities.

Free Admission & Event Information

The Parade of Parades is free to attend. Participants should meet at the Adams Street Community Center at 10:00 AM to get ready, with the parade officially kicking off at 10:30 AM. This unique event welcomes all ages at the same time, making it a perfect opportunity for the whole community to celebrate together. As part of the Brownwood Library’s Summer Reading Club, attendees are encouraged to sign up for the free Reading Club, which offers activities and programs for readers of all ages throughout the summer.
