Lake Brownwood State Park

Lake Brownwood State Park is a treasure of the Hill country with 537.5 acres of lush grounds surrounded by Lake Brownwood, a 7,300 sq ft surface-acre-reservoir. Many structures in use today were constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the early 1930’s, from the timber and native rock found in the park.

Activities are picnicking, camping, hiking (2.5 miles of hiking trails and a 5-mile nature trail), motor boating, water skiing (jet skis allowed), fishing, nature study, swimming (in an unsupervised swimming area), and bird watching.

Facilities include cabins, lodges, tent sites, and RV spaces located at 200 State Highway Park Road 15 Lake Brownwood, TX 76801. The Group Recreation Hall is a favorite for reunions and events, with a rooftop balcony overlooking the Lake.
