The Lake Brownwood State Park – Texas Parks and Wildlife invite you to a night under the stars to learn about what’s out there in the sky. Telescopes will be set up to help you view the night sky, and volunteers will be on hand to teach about stars and constellations. Attendees are asked to bring a red light, as white lights can disrupt night vision. Traffic will be directed to park away from the event to help preserve everyone’s night vision.

Astronomy enthusiasts are welcome to bring their own telescopes. Volunteers are also needed to help teach about the night sky. If you are interested in volunteering, please email lakebrownwoodsp@tpwd.texas.gov.

What to bring: red light, folding chair or blanket

Where to meet: Day Use Area
