SALSA,(Strategic Alliance for Leadership and Social Action) is planning to host a Cinco de Mayo Observance at Wiggins Park on May 1. We will offer a brief history lesson on the significance of the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, introduce the 2021 class of Trailblazers, award scholarships ($5,000), have food and non-alcoholic beverages, and have live entertainment.  We will also have games for the entire family, adults and children. For the children, there will be face painting, arts and crafts, and a Bounce House. For adults, we will have horse shoes, dominoes, cards, corn hole, and a 50-50 raffle. A car show has been added which will be a fun addition for all and there will be more to come!

Food vendors and car show participants are by invitation only due to limited space.
