Christmas Under the Stars Festival & Parade
The 2018 Christmas season will be upon us faster than you know it and this year marks the 10th anniversary of our Christmas Under the Stars Parade and Festival.
Christmas Under the Stars includes three days of holiday activities starting with a lighted Christmas Parade on the 6th, followed by two days of festival activities on the 7th and 8th at the Depot Plaza and the Lehnis Railroad Museum.
Everyone’s favorite funnel cakes and hot chocolate will be available, and kids will be able to build crosses, decorate ornaments, and cookies. The kiddos can also stay busy with a giant inflatable snow slide, holiday train demos, live entertainment, and mini-train rides.
This year will also include the Treats for Santa Competition and Big Wheel Races for kids and adults.
The big addition to this year’s event will be—SNOW!
Please thank these sponsors for making this festival possible: Brownwood Regional Medical Center, United Supermarkets, Citizens National Bank, McCoy’s Building Supply, Brownwood Women’s Clinic, Brookshire’s and Landmark Life.

Treats For Santa
Santa likes his treats, and area bakers can enter the contest to show off their skills in several categories including pies, cakes, bars/brownies, cookies, bread/rolls, and muffins.
The contest will take place on the second day of the festival, Saturday, December 8th. Baked goods will only be accepted on Saturday, December 8th from 3-4 PM at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce and judging will begin at 4:30 PM.
Scoring for each treat will be based on taste, appearance and originality.
After judging, the entries will be moved to the Depot Civic and Cultural Center near Santa Claus for display and to sell samples to the public.
For 2018, the Treats for Santa competition will be free to enter.
