The Christmas season officially begins in Brownwood with the annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Tuesday, December 1. The community is invited to gather downtown and celebrate the start of the holiday season as the Christmas tree is illuminated and Brownwood comes together for an evening filled with Christmas spirit and community cheer.

The Christmas Tree Lighting brings friends, families and neighbors together for one of Brownwood’s beloved holiday traditions. In past years, the celebration has included festive music, holiday treats, photo opportunities and a special countdown to light the downtown Christmas tree. The event also serves as a kickoff to the many Christmas celebrations taking place throughout Brownwood in December.
