Keep Brownwood Beautiful is hosting an Earth Day 5K at Riverside Park. Entries need to be received before April 1st for a t-shirt, after April 1st t-shirts may be available, but can’t be guaranteed. Bring the family-fun for all ages and fitness levels! Register at Runsignup.com.

Registration Fees:  $25.00 ages 18 & Over; $15.00 ages 14-17; Free ages 13 & Under (may not be guaranteed a shirt)

Award Categories: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals for males and females in these age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-30, 30-40, 40-50, 60 and up. (42 medals available)

Race Day Schedule: Registration & packet pick up: 7:00 – 7:45 am; 5K Run @ 8:00 a.m.

Earth Day is a global event to raise awareness and action for the environment. It started in 1970, inspired by anti-war protest and an oil spill. The first Earth Day mobilized 20 million Americans and let to landmark laws on clean water and air. Earth Day went global in 1990, reaching 200 million people in 141 countries. Earth Day now involves over 1 billion people in 193 countries and has a different theme each year. The theme for Earth Day 2023 is “Invest in Our Planet.”
