Join the  friendly staff at the Lake Brownwood State Park for a tradition around the nation as they hike on New Years Day! Take a guided hike with a ranger on an easy, family friendly trail to start the new year off in the outdoors! Trail length is approximately 3/4 mile long with small elevation changes.

This is free with park entrance. They encourage making a day pass reservation as capacity limits are still in place.

Lake Brownwood State Park is a treasure of the Hill country with 537.5 acres of lush grounds surrounded by Lake Brownwood, a 7,300 sq ft surface-acre-reservoir. Activities are picnicking, camping, hiking , motor boating, water skiing , fishing, nature study, swimming , and bird watching.
