Real soup. Hot soup. Real, hot soup.
For the first time in two years, Empty Bowls Project is back in the Brownwood Coliseum, where, for $10 each, ticket holders will be treated to simple meals of hot soup, crackers and water, and go home with a bowl painted by a community member and fired in a Kohler oven. The event will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a Preview hour from 10 – 11 am, for an extra $10 donation.
This is Good Samaritan’s largest fundraiser of the year and 90% of the proceeds from the Empty Bowls project stay here in Brown County and benefit our local hunger ministries such as the Food Pantry, Food for Thought, Homebound Program, Homeless Boxes, the Deer Project, the Pig Project and the Mobile Food Pantry. This year’s remaining 10% will be donated to Samaritan’s Purse.
